*Reindeer moss, also known as Cladonia rangiferina, is a common type of moss found in northern regions around the world. It typically grows in dry, open areas such as grasslands, deserts, mountains, and the Arctic Circle. Reindeer moss has a hard, non-pliable texture and comes in shades of gray-green or brown. It usually grows on the ground or on rocks. Its appearance resembles the antlers of a reindeer, hence the name "reindeer moss."
